About Lora Szostak

I was born in Vancouver B.C. My interest in historical architecture began in my early teens. I travelled at a very young age across the USA, Canada, Britain and Mexico. My travels throughout Britain in particular over the course of 7 years the historical architecture seen there inspired me to begin painting heritage buildings in Vancouver from circa 1800's -1900's. Preservation of local history is something important to me and I feel like it shouldn't be forgotten. With this in mind I started my "Vintage Vancouver" series in beginning of January 2021. Art has been my passion my whole life.
